Privacy and security
Your partner cannot see what you enter. Here is how.
Separating people are, reasonably, worried about who can see their information. This page explains what we store, who can see it, and how to delete it.
Partner separation
When both partners use FairWell, each completes intake through their own private link and their own session. Neither partner can view the other's inputs. What the drafting team sees is both sets; what each partner sees is their own, plus the draft agreement once it is prepared. Disputed items are shown as disputed, not with the other partner's private notes.
What is stored where
- Free tools (calculators, checklists, readiness check, stage selector) run in your browser. Progress is saved to your device only, unless you request a resume link by email.
- The assessment and intake are stored on encrypted servers when you choose to save them. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store card numbers.
- Email addresses submitted through forms are stored by our form provider and used only for the purpose you submitted them for.
Quick exit
The Quick exit button on every page, and the Shift+Esc shortcut, replace the current page with a neutral site and open a second neutral tab. Your browser history for the FairWell page is replaced, not just closed. For full privacy on a shared device, also use a private browsing window and clear history.
Deletion
Email privacy@fairwell.ai from the address on your account and we will delete your data within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax or legal reasons.
