In plain terms
This is a way to get your facts and terms organised in one place, so the lawyers' time goes on advice rather than gathering the same facts twice.
What FairWell is
A coaching and preparation service, not a law firm. It collects each of your terms, organises them into one plain-language summary, and flags anything you disagree on. It does not give legal advice or draft the legal agreement: a lawyer prepares that, and a lawyer of your own choosing advises you before you sign anything.
What you'll be asked
Your financial information, your view of how property and debt should be divided, and if you have children, your view of the parenting arrangement. The same questions your partner answered. It takes about 30 to 60 minutes, and you can stop and come back.
What you will and won't see
You will not see your partner's private answers, and they will not see yours. You will both see the organised summary of terms, with disputed items clearly marked. Neither of you can edit the other's inputs.
What it costs
The price is a flat fee: $799 for the Separation Agreement for both partners, or $999 for the Complete Package for both partners (prices shown in CAD). Your partner may have paid in full, or chosen to split it ($399.50 or $499.50 each), in which case you'll be asked for your half before you start. Taxes are added at checkout where they apply. There is no hourly billing.
You are not agreeing to anything
Entering your information is not consent to the terms. Nothing is binding until both of you sign a final agreement after independent legal advice. You can stop at any point.

Three things people in your position usually want to know
Do I need my own lawyer?
You should get independent legal advice before signing. FairWell can pass your request to a lawyer listed in our directory who offers flat-fee reviews, where one is available in your province or state. The lawyer sets their own fee, and because your terms are already organised the lawyer may need less time to get up to speed. You choose the lawyer; your partner does not.
What if I disagree with what my partner wants?
That is expected. The summary marks each disputed item. You then resolve them directly, through a mediator, or through your lawyers. FairWell does not decide anything for you.
Can I do this on my phone, in pieces?
Yes. Progress saves as you go, and the Save my progress button gives you a private link to continue on any device.
